Calligraphy

Calligraphy is my ongoing creative project. This ancient art of handwriting is both challenging and extremely satiating for the artist in me. I used the ancient script “Devnagari” and the writing is form the oldest book available to date- Rigweda. Few scripts are from other ‘Vedas’ from Hindu culture.

I used the traditionally cut bamboo pen for the specific angle of the letters. The result was a collection of calligraphic designs with words that, for me, hold a lot of meaning.
